Minedoku
Minedoku — a 9×9 grid where the mechanics are completely intertwined. You can't solve the Sudoku without finding the mines, and you can't find the mines without Sudoku logic.
The Core Loop:
- The Grid: A standard 9×9 Sudoku, but almost entirely hidden at the start.
- The Reveal: Place a correct digit → the cell cascades open (Minesweeper-style), revealing mine proximity counts for its neighbours.
- The Risk: Place a wrong digit or click a mine → lose one of your 3 lives. 💔
- The Twist: Row, column, and box mine counts are always visible on the board. A flagged mine eliminates digit candidates from its row/column/box; a correct digit reveals the proximity clues you need to locate more mines.
Why it's different:
This isn't a mashup where you play two games side by side. The two systems are mutually dependent — the Sudoku logic tells you which cells are safe to click; the Minesweeper clues tell you which digits are even possible. You're constantly switching between instinct and deduction in your head, and neither half works without the other.
